Hello all, This is our first blog. We're a mother-daughter team. My mother buys and I sell. Over the years I've learned (from observing my mom) that a lot can be gained from simply keeping your eyes peeled. At 8 I found a solid silver spoon for a nickel and at 10 I found a pearl bracelet (real) for a quarter. This keen awareness of what I was sifting through was learned through observation (thanks mom). Also, knowing we were on a treasure hunt every Saturday made it fun. If you're reading this and you have kids, realize that your entire family can benefit from your hobby/business. Your kids can not only help you find great deals but can learn to stretch a dollar in the process. Ever seen the POWER a kid has when asking, "How much is this" at a yard sale.
