He was surprised to hear that but didn't get mad and thought about what that person said. He replies back and said, "You know, you are right, I am a hyprocrite, just think of this church a hospital for hyprocrite people." I never forget this comment as it is true, we go to church to worship God and same time repent for our sin!! How many times, we gone to church and realize I do that and asked God for forgiveness! DELAND, Fla. -- The accused ringleader of a middle school murder plot talked publicly for the first time Tuesday and said bullies pushed him over the edge; he thought shooting his classmates was the only way out.
Austin Mohr, 13, was one of three kids accused of planning a massacre at DeLand Middle School. He spoke to the media outside his hearing in Volusia County on Tuesday.
"I've always kept these feelings in for so long, it's very hard to get 'em out," he said.
Mohr is accused of threatening to attack his middle school. Investigators said he made threats including, "I will kill every person I see. The massacre will happen soon."
But Mohr said Tuesday he has come a long way from the claims that have him facing a charge of conspiracy to commit murder.
"Threatening to kill other people and threatening to do very bad things to them is not the way to go. Talk to somebody, talk to your parents, talk to somebody you trust, but just don't try to take it into your own hands," he said.
Mohr was out of his jail jumpsuit and wearing a large black suit Tuesday as he learned he will face trial in June. Investigators said he filled a MySpace page with mentions of the Columbine Massacre and attempted to get a gun, which he admitted was wrong.
"Very wrong way, yes," he said Tuesday.
But he also blamed the school system, which he said knew he was being bullied and did nothing to help him.
"I think there should be more laws and boundaries to stop bullying, because I think that's what's tearing schools apart and making children like me doing things like this," he said.
Mohr was arrested along with two other children in early March. Charlene Russell is still in full-time behavioral treatment. Tyler Christian is in treatment only during the day and is allowed to go home to his parents at night. Both had their cases continued Tuesday. SANFORD, Fla. -- Eyewitness News discovered a popular Sanford fast food restaurant that's accused of storing food on the floor inside the men's restroom. The food that was left on the floor in the restroom was just one of several critical violations health inspectors found at a Checkers location in Sanford.
Employees at the Checkers store on South French Avenue at West 15th Street (see map) apparently decided it was okay to store buns for their hamburgers inside a not-so-clean men's room.
Tuesday, it appeared they had changed the policy, but not before racking up a dozen health code violations.
"The bread was stacked sky high to the ceiling, plus it was only about 12 inches from the men's commode," said former customer Willie Jones.
Checker's goes through a lot of hamburger buns at its drive-thru restaurants. It's hard to even think about what might happen to those buns in a tiny, smelly and dirty bathroom. One customer told Eyewitness News he didn't like the manager's reaction to his complaint about the bread box-bathroom stall combination.
"'You got the bread in the men's restroom.' She got angry with me. She got T'd off and she locked the door," Jones said.
Health officials didn't settle for that solution, forcing the store to throw away all of it. Unfortunately, they don't know how long the Sanford Checkers kept both bread and cups in a bathroom that was quickly cleaned as Eyewitness News arrived Tuesday. An employee denied the bathroom-food storage system.
"Were you guys storing bread in there?" WFTV reporter Steve Barrett asked.
"No sir," the employee replied.
That employee and the bread delivery man seemed perplexed about where the bread should go Tuesday as an Eyewitness News crew looked on. They finally took it inside the kitchen.
"Do you ever see them put the bread you bring in the bathroom?" Barrett asked the delivery man.
"No comment," he said.
In all, the Checkers location was cited for a dozen violations, including nine "critical" violations. They were for things like storing food on the floor and having a faulty water treatment system.
The manager would not come out and talk Tuesday and no one called back from the corporate office for comment.
