TJ's Silent Blog!!! Where is my grape jelly????

I hope I do not have a problem with buyer

Repost for who have not see it.

One of the buyer is complaining about the products and it is from United Kingdom.  It said,

"hello
sorry to be a pain but could i please have a full refund on the cherrished teddies you sent me as they are not originals and i only collect the real thing. they do not have a cerificate with them and they do not have their number on the feet to say what number they are for example 001 of 1000

so if you could confirm that you are refunding the money i will confirm when i have posted back the items

thank you for your cooperation"

I don't know what it mean by original as Avon is the only one that sell it and I happened to know that there is no certtificate and they do not have numbers on it as it is not limited edition.  I am not expert on Cherished Teddies but I know other buyer told me that Avon don't always have certificate when I told her where it came from and she like, "Oh, then it is fine and it is real cuz she said she collect them from them." and this is the first time I heard of number on the feet.

I did email her and said that they are real and it never came with certificate and if she want me to refund her, I will not be refunding the shipping and handling as it was $16.10 to ship it.  I have lost money big time.  She got a good deal on it.

Here is the info of my listing.

Also I email her again as I saw in the feedback that she complained about not have certificate with someone else.  I don't think she know that Avon does not have certificate and the pictures I have and my description clearly said it is Cherished Teddies and I know it is not limited edition as I think that what she meant by number on the feet. Also, I not heard from her yet.

I see absolutely NO mention of any certificates in your description. If the buyer wanted certificates she could have inquired if you had them BEFORE she bid. I would not refund.

If she complained before to another seller that there was no certificate, wouldn't you think that she would email you and ask, "Is there a certificate that comes with these?" DUH....

I would of not offered to refund her money because you never stated certificates or numbers in your listing. She should of ask questions before bidding.

If it did have certificate, I would have taken pictures so they can see it. Most time with certificate it will be limited edition.

I have a suggestion for future listings though. Rather than use stock photos, take photos of the actual items from all angles and then the buyer knows EXACTLY what they are getting. If you'd had photos she could have seen if they had or did not have numbers on their feet.

That what I thought rusty. I did send her 2nd email to educate her about Avon Cherished Teddies and how it is not limited edition and there is no certificate. I told her if you do not see it in the listing then most likely there is not one and can email to ask question. I told her what I have is original and there is no other Cherished Teddies like those and it is only exclusive thru Avon.

The only problem with that is that I must open it and it have never been open. There will be tape around it and so on.

Yes i agree with Spa. You did not misslead in your listing. She should have asked questions before she plunked down a thirty dollar bid. I think you are right that only limited editions are numbered. But number are not always on the foot i believe some are on the backs. I would have to check to be sure. She does not sound like a very avid collector of bears to me.

A question asked takes but a minute--some places charge a restock fee. I don't know if ebay allows this--but if a person is so particular about an item ask, especially if they have done this before. They open an Item, handle it and then want to return it. It wasn't your fault.
Sure you lose money, packaging and your time, and you pay ebay fees. They should read what they are buying.

Hey Tj, I sell the Avon stuff too, I've never seen a certificate with any of their products..
You're listing was just fine
Yesterday I had to cancel a bid, she bid on the watch 4 days before she started asking questions about it. Instead of dealing with ANOTHER non-payer, I just cancelled the bid.
I wouldn't stress it, Refunds are sent after the items are back in my hands safe and sound!

I am sorry that you have lost money on this transaction. It is customary not to refund the postage unless stated in your listing. Clearly you are not at fault but the best thing is to get it back and issue a refund. On the big picture, you have made money on other itmes to cover this one loss. Of course with all your listings, you already know this.
I looked at your page and saw the sign language on top. I can read TJ'S and Blog but does the other say TTNgs?
I am trying to teach my 89 year old going deaf mother just the letters and she is fighting me all the way. Anything you can say would help.

Hye linda. This comes so late you probably won't see it now, but my MIL tried so hard to get my FIL to learn some basic sign language. She had a tumor in her throat that she had surgery on and it was such a strain on her voice. He was almost deaf, and the doctor's contributed a lot of her voice problems with her straining to be heard. But, like they say, "you can't teach an old dog new tricks!" lol. Sometimes at that age, it's just so frustrating, and I know from experience that trying to learn the letters can be difficult if not used constantly (we have a good sized deaf ministry at our church). Old hands and fingers don't move the way they used to (not to mention brains!) Rather than trying to teach her letters, maybe you could check into the basics of what they teach babies. That's the trend now. My granddaughter was using a lot of sign language before she could speak. Maybe there's some shorthand she could learn - basic words instead of trying to spell stuff out. Good luck! We've just experienced the loss of both my 89 year old mother, and my 96 year old FIL, so I know full well what you're dealing with!
