Tough decision to make!!!

I am going to Alaska in 2 weeks!!!!  Yipee!!!  And I am purchasing a plane tickets.  But I do not want long layover!!!  Cheapest one have like 7 to 9 hours layover!!!  But for shorter layover for about 2 hours is about $200.00 more.  BUt I really do not want LONG layover and probably best for me to pay $200.00 more to avoid LONG layover.

Hiya tj! I saw on the news a site that you put in the dates you want to travel and your to and from information and they airlines send you offers for tickets. Kind of like them bidding for your business and low bid wins lol...

I wish I had paid more attention to it. I don't know the name of the website.

Alaska is beautiful. The weather was beautiful in the summer. I broke a sweat bike riding.

what airport is the layover in?

Some aren't so bad.....

I'm much rather layover that long in the twin cities rather than Hong Kong or Tokyo.
There are several airports that aren't so bad for long layovers if they have enough seating and the seats are comfortable or have other things to do during that long time.

I have traveled by air a lot in years past and know that I also dislike layovers.

But $200 can be a good chunk of change for a little discomfor that can be used in other ways while your on vacation.

Where are you going in Alaska, we went there on summer on Holiday and rented a camper and drove all over. It was awesome !!! Land of the midnight sun. I remember being out fishing with my brother at 11 pm and my mom calling us in for bed and we thought it had to been around 6. Boy were we shocked to find out it was almost midnight!

Be ready for mosquitos.I kid you not,they are ferocious and since they can have 24 hrs of light to bite,they are always hungry.
