I bought an item from a seller...I specifically asked about combined shipping and was told she did indeed combine shipping and would give me a good rate, so I bought two more items...then I got my total invoice and was shocked to see she's charging me $16 shipping for 3 tiny little size small shirts (two of which are very lightweight teeshirts) which will cost a maximum of $5 to ship. I wrote her asking for the correct invoice and that's what she sent me. So I wrote her again to ask if she's sure that's right, and told her why I'm hoping it's a mistake. I don't expect to pay $5 to ship this package but I don't expect to pay $16 either.
Is this fee circumvention, or since it took place after the auction closed and took place on the invoice, not in the auction listing, would it just be a case of postal gouging? Since it's a multiple-purchase agreement between the buyer and seller, would eBay even care? The seller's items went for 99 cents each, so she's making her money off the back-end fees (and a decent profit at that), which to me is fee circumvention no matter how you cut it. I'm all for paying $2 or $3 on each additional item (I myself charge right in between that) but $5 and up for each additional item, especially when they're tiny lightweight items that will fit in a bubblemailer (and you've promised the buyer a good discounted rate), is just wrong.
How do you go about reporting something like this? Forward eBay the invoice? Or is it even really reportable?

It's strange but I keep having these nonpays that, until they decided not to pay me, had perfect records and feedback histories that screamed what great, quick payment makers they were. And then they win something from me and decide it's time to go bad. Am I a deadbeat magnet? And these aren't people with 2 or 3 feedbacks under their belt either, these are established members of the eBay community with FB records sometimes in the hundreds. Why would someone suddenly decide it's time to turn deadbeat, and why is it always on ME?
Yeah, I know, it only seems that way because it's happening to me a lot lately...but I just added two more to the list this week...no responses to multiple invoices, no payments, not even the courtesy of a quick email to let me know why they're a week late or that they'll pay next Tuesday or whatever. Just dead silence from the other end. Ugh.
So anyway...here's some spam to cheer me up. I got some bids from my last spam serving, so that always helps both emotionally and monetarily =) Anyone else got any to share? Misery loves company, and I'm pretty miserable right now with my empty PayPal account and my swollen jaw =(

I have a plus size blouse listed with exact measurements and I just received an email from a potential bidder demanding that I re-check the measurements because she doesn't believe they're correct. Huh? So I did, and they're correct to the centimeter. I found this kinda funny, I guess partly because there were a lot of !!!!!'s in the email (that always gets me) and partly because I would never think of telling someone they're wrong on their own listing, especially with something as simple as taking a measurement...so I posted the question and answer to the listing. I love that function. One place eBay went right? The "post this question and answer to the listing" feature. Yay eBay =)

Good morning everyone! I made my big comeback (lol) last night but nobody was here to see it...either that or I was resoundingly ignored...I've got myself convinced it was the first one =)
I got busy yesterday for the first time in two weeks and here's the result. As always, almost everything starts at 99 cents with no reserves, and I combine shipping on multiple items at a rate of just $2.50 for each additional purchase. Lots of low BINs!
