Archive - October 2007 Anyone use Turbo Lister 2?Posted Oct-30-07 11:40:50 PDT Repost: When I try to add a picture to a Turbo Lister item, it immediately shuts down the program the second I click "add picture". Then when I reopen the program, it's zeroed---all my data is gone and it's like I just installed it. I have to restore everything. Is there a workaround to this, besides just waiting to add my photos after the listing is uploaded to eBay? Does anyone here use TL2 and have you had this problem? I can't get into Live Help (connection to server keeps being lost...they don't want to help me, apparently) and the Answer Center is offering no answers. Help =( Adding my spam to the pilePosted Oct-22-07 17:28:25 PDT Music DVDs this week, including Chevelle, Weezer, Offspring, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmy Eat World, Cream, Bad Religion, Blondie, Chris Isaak, Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton...music lovers, go shopping! Free Quick*Sell Gallery from ISDN*tek This is SO FUNNY! Dumb scam alert!!Posted Oct-22-07 17:04:41 PDT This is hilarious, my mother just called me, she lost her cellphone two days ago at an event and was about to go get a replacement phone this afternoon. She was in her friend's car when her friend got a phonecall...he looked at his phone, saw the number the call was coming from, and asked my mother if she was calling him from the back seat. Mom said no, so he answered it. The person on the other end said he had bought a cellphone off someone for $25 and wanted to sell it back to its owner and get his money back. He was calling people in the phone's addressbook to get in touch with the owner. My mom's friend played along (way to go Shane, smart boy!!) and asked who he was and what his address was so he could tell the owner where to go to buy the phone back from him. AND THE IDIOT TOLD HIM!! Mom immediately called the police and said her phone had been stolen and the thief had called her to try to sell it back to her and she had his name and address. The police officer asked for the name, and when she told him, HE told HER the guy's address and said "Yeah, we know him, we'll go get it for you." LOL! So she got her phone back. I can't believe anyone would be that stupid, to steal someone's phone and then try to sell it back to them. It seems like I saw someone do that in a movie once, but I can't remember what movie it was. This guy probably saw that movie and thought, hmm, good idea there...I should try that. The problem is the guy is calling mom and her friend now, probably to cuss them for ratting him out....as stupid as this fellow is, he would undoubtedly ask her why she told on him, lol. Mom called me a few minutes ago to tell me about all this, then told me to watch out for phonecalls from this certain number, because apparently he's called a couple of people from her addressbook (including her...she's not answering and the others aren't either). I WISH he would call me, I'd answer it just to hear what he had to say for himself. It could only be hilarious. Anyone in the market for...Posted Oct-22-07 11:05:50 PDT ....about 500 Victoria's Secret catalogs?? I swear, buy one bra from these people and you'll never stop hearing from them for the rest of your life. I wish I had friends that were this loyal! Anybody here take Celebrex?Posted Oct-22-07 10:12:25 PDT ...for osteo arthritis, or any other condition? My surgeon put me on it 3 times a day for the TMJD that resulted from my disastrous wisdom teeth extraction surgery. The indications sheet that came with it says very little other than to list the scary possible side effects (YIKES!!) I was wondering if there's anything I can (or shouldn't) do to help it work...such as taking it on an empty stomach, or not taking it with milk, etc. The label says things like "you may take this on an empty stomach or with a meal"...okay, so which is it?? Has anyone had any of the apocalyptic side effects that the sheet mentions? And, lastly, does this stuff work? I also have arthritis in my fingers and it would be nice if some of the (hopefully good) effects leaked over and took care of that as well. Anybody here have experience with this medication? Question, can you answer this?Posted Oct-22-07 09:27:07 PDT Morning everyone! I've got a question, I'm pretty sure I know the answer but I wanted to double check with some of you who might have had the same experience before I move forward with it. I just filed for the FVF on four nonpaid auctions, all "bought" by the same person. I'm about to go post her well deserved negatives (well deserved because she's been buying and paying and getting good feedbacks for fast payment for the last two + weeks while resolutely ignoring my invoices and eBay's nonpay reminder emails and popups). She never responded to the dispute, so if she retaliates, will eBay automatically remove the mark, or do I have to bring it to their attention? She's a relative newbie (went from 9 to 31 in the last two weeks while I've been waiting to get paid) so I really expect she will do the kneejerk thing when she sees four red donuts sitting on her table. Is it safe? The removal promise is a sure thing, right? Four undeserved negs I definitely don't want. I don't even wanna LEAVE them, to be honest, but if the feedback thingy's gonna work... 99 cent DVDs closing in 15 minutes!Posted Oct-21-07 17:01:28 PDT About 15 minutes left on some great DVD movies...grab a bargain before they close!

Check out my DVDs, I've got some more of their flicks for sale =) I've got 99 cent DVDs again this week, we're still cleaning out the collection that was threatening to take over the house. Great deals still to be had, they close in just a couple of hours and a bunch are still at 99 cents, so go shopping! Cheap shipping, great combined purchase rate, really fantastic movies (no dollar store bulk titles, these are all box office movies). A lot of family-friendly titles as well...now's the perfect time to add to your collection!
Free Quick*Sell Gallery from ISDN*tek Wow, 7 nonpays from last batch of salesPosted Oct-20-07 09:37:10 PDT This is unreal. Seven people from my last big batch of sales have failed to respond to the initial invoice AND the followup reminder. Tomorrow is the day to file the NPB on them...I've never had to file this many at once before, what the heck is up? I've seen so many others here saying they've had a lot of nonpays recently too. Is there something special about this week in history? The interesting thing is that only three of them are what you'd call newbies. The other four are very well established eBayers. Gah! And every last one of them, both the newbies and the experienced ones, have perfect ratings. I seem to be a magnet for perfect eBayers who have decided they want to go bad. I don't know what the problem is...my prices are low, my shipping is cheap, my product is good. I only take PayPal, so it's not like the postal service is dragging their feet on delivering someone's money order. Some of these items sold for 99 cents, and the best I can guess is that the buyer assumes nobody will leave a negative over 99 cents. I can accept one or two nonpays out of each batch of sales...that's become common. But SEVEN? Ebay's gonna ban me from the "submit a payment reminder" page. Wouldn't it be cool if we could utilize MSBC to make collection calls for us like the credit card companies do? And late or non payments would go to Experion and be added to the person's credit report, just like any other payment would. Maybe then people wouldn't balk at paying for their little 99 cent items so much. I'm hoping what always happens when I post these tirades will happen again this time...one of my tardy customers always makes a payment immediately, lol. We'll see if the magic still holds =) Bad news about those unsolicited spamsPosted Oct-15-07 11:48:44 PDT You know those annoying advertisement spams we're all getting in the middle of our blogs? I just received one on a post from yesterday and was shocked to see the ID on it is the name of someone I know from another board here at eBay, and believe me, this guy is the LAST person on the planet who would ever do something like that. THESE ARE HIJACKED ACCOUNTS, not just some randomly made up IDs. That's bad news, because any of us could have our IDs pop up on one. Watch your accounts carefully! Is it too late to list halloween costumes?Posted Oct-14-07 21:10:43 PDT Think it's too late in the month to list some halloween outfits? Maybe if I run them on a 3-day listing and require immediate payment so that I can get them shipped in time? He gets this from his father's side.Posted Oct-12-07 12:00:35 PDT My toddler (18 months old) was whining in a very distressing manner just now so I ran out into the hall to see what the problem was. There he sat with his finger stuck in the air conditioner's intake vent cover, in between the narrow slats. So I gently extricated his little digit and kissed it to make it all better, then stood up to go back to my office...but before I could take even one step, he whined again, and I turned around to see he had stuck his finger right back into the grate. And yup, he was stuck again, in the exact same spot I'd just helped him get out of. Good looks, high intelligence, sweet personality, great sense of humor...he gets so much from my side of the family. Sticking his finger in the air conditioner grate...well, he had to get SOMETHING from his father's side. =)
Whoo hooooo I got paid!!Posted Oct-03-07 10:10:11 PDT Updated Oct-03-07 10:10:25 PDT My famous (or infamous) vanished customer finally paid me just now! No contact or response to emails, invoices, or NPB notices, just quietly paid. I'm sure you'll all give a collective sigh of relief that you don't have to hear about this anymore, lol. Here's some happy spam to celebrate. Go buy something, it's all CHEAP!
