I am pleased to begin my Painting Blog. I have been painting for 15 years and have recently dedicated myself to being a "Daily Painter". I havge worked in many different mediums including pencil, colored pencil, pen and ink, watercolor and acrylic but my favorite is oil. I learned to paint using a limited palatte and I still use this technique. I have lived on or near a lake most of my life and I am very drawn to scenes that include water, cottages, landscapes, boats, rivers, streams, nature. I love the style of the Impressionist Masters and I strive to become a great impressionist painter. I prefer to work in smaller formats from 6x6 to 9x12. I have worked on many surfaces including canvas, fabric, walls, and glass but most of my paintings are now done on gessoed masonite. This allows them to be easily framed or displayed on a decorative easle. If you are a collector, thank you for considering my art. All paintings are signed originals and dated on the back.
