The benefits of living in San Diego I suppose. Anyhow, the only time I buy MAC on ebay is for discontinued or hard to find/sold out in stores or online items, and HUGE LOTS.
I have searched on Ebay numerous times for LOTS of MAC and what not and have noticed FAKE EYESHADOW POTS being sold in lots from HONG KONG! Its ridiculous. I just hope buyers have more of the common sense to know its fake because of the following:
- If it is too good to be true... well, then it is: If the price is BUYitNOW and it seems cheap; if the purchase price is less than the shipping and handeling itself, I garauntee its FAKE. Especially from HongKong/AUSTRALIA. Their able to MASS RE-PRODUCE so they can afford to sell it that cheap for you.
- The COLOR is not listed or the name is different: MAC PIGMENTS ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS have a clever name like Rush Metal, Pink Mauved, Old Gold etc. Sometimes they are simple names like Violet, or BrownGreen. They should never just say SILVER74, BLUE08, YELLOW92 etc. NO NO NO NO. And if you happen to stumble upon a GLITTER PIGMENT that just says GLITTER and it consist of large bits of party sparkle confetti... HELLO!? NOT MAC.
- EYESHADOW POTS include MIRROR and APPLICATOR: MAC eyeshadows NEVER have built in mirrors and applicators! These fakes are also named the same way the pigments are. A common color and number like PURPLE32 or SILVER05 or whatever they choose to name them. Its fake. trust me. Do you really think a high end Cosmetics Company would ever choose to name their pruducts like that?
- RARE/NOT SOLD IN SOTRES/LIMITED ADDITION: Not ALL MAC that are labeled as RARE or HARD TO FIND are really rare or hard to find. Before purchasing a MAC item on a whim for an EXTREME purchase price PLUS high shipping, DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!! Check on MACCOSMETICS.COM and compare the prices. EVEN IF IT IS SOLD OUT ONLINE it doesn't make it rare. Search on Ebay for better deals from trusted sellers! I've seen some sellers charge an arm and a leg for a RARE item that I bought the week previously at the MAC STORE! Just make sure you check and compare with MACCOSMETICS online and see if buying it on ebay is worth the price, considering SH+H compared to your gas and mileage.
- ONLY NOVICE MAC USERS will rush a mistake: DO NOT GET ALL BUTT-HURT because you purchased FAKE MAC. There are multiple reviewers on Ebay that can give you loads more information than I have if not the same. JUST DO YOUR HOMEWORK. A smart buyer will do smart studying. SIMPLE as that.
I am just so tired of FAKE MAC being sold to unsuspecting buyers. And if you KNOW it is a FAKE and still continue to purchase it, they you are just aiding in this unfair sale. I also feel insulted that some sellers try to pass of such blatant fakes as real deal MAC. I mean COME ON!!! NOT ALL sellers are fake and a lot of fake sellers are getting better at faking it. So besure to ask as many questions as possible and if they do not respond then forget them. Also MAC, AGAIN is a multi-million dollar company. They would never make a Mistake product or have BULK EXCESS. This ain't Taco Bell honey!

Has been posting up FAKE mac warnings THAT COSTS HER TO POST UP. Here are th epictures she has provided to prove the FAKE SALE of some MAC EYE SHADOWS. Thanks so much for helping new MAC Consumers educate themselves on such fakes.
