What Do You Think?Posted Aug-01-07 19:24:54 PDT I have listed printed note cards of my painting Cowboy Doxie. Do you think I am listed in the best category for exposure? I listed in two categories: 1) collectibles/postcards&paper/greetingcards/other, and 2) everythingelse/gifts&occasions/greetingcards/othercards. What do you think? Am I in the right place? Here is the listing url: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270150848974 Or you can see it in the left sidebar of My World page. Thanks in advance for your answer. V. On Shaky LegsPosted Jul-31-07 12:51:50 PDT I've decided to try my hand at painting a few horses--something quite new for me. My current auction is the first foal I have painted in full body. I did an ACEO of a colt's head and face a while ago, but this is the first body. I love the young ones with the long legs and short bodies, short necks. This one is Shaman who was born at an animal rescue in central Texas which is also where I got my Border Collie Brooke. So I am venturing into new territory, as always. If it isn't a different medium, it's a different subject. It's so true. Variety is the spice of life. And so again, like Shaman, I find myself on shaky legs. It has been raining again in Southeast Texas. The already scorching temperatures of 95-96 degrees are exhausting when coupled with the high humidity. Our heat index has been 105 degrees for at least a couple of days--the two days when I needed to be outside for part of the day. My body screams, "Too hot!" Too hot for plein air painting. So ... I improvise. I paint a plein air Dachshund puppy who is colorfully obsessed with painting. This is where I am. This is me. Paw in wet paint. Cowboy Doxie ~ New to eBay blogging!Posted Jul-20-07 04:56:10 PDT This is my Cowboy Doxie on a current auction that will end on July 22. Please bear with me here while I learn about eBay blogging. I've blogged on other venues for years, but this looks a bit more "live" than I'm accustomed to. Thank you, kind soul, for messaging me to turn on my comments. You were right. I had no idea they were set to off. Geez, I thought nobody liked me with all those "no comment" markers showing. ;^) ![]() SANTA BABY Dachshund ~ July 20-30 AuctionPosted Jul-19-07 21:06:19 PDT Dachshund in Hat No. 5, "SANTA BABY Dachshund" ~ This Dachshund pup wears a jingle bell Santa Hat and spectacles. Many of my ACEO paintings have been rendered with colored pencil. Today's colored pencil work is far different from the map colors we remember from school. Many works are so highly executed it is difficult to distinguish them from oil paintings. I feel honored to be a part of this national association.
