Changing Tactics...

For the rest of the vacation, rather than describing what I am doing the moment the alarm goes off, I'm going to use this space to describe the highlight of the day. That should avoid the whole "shower" problem that has been haunting this blog. BTW, I realize that this is not the most interesting blog to read, so I'm just letting you know that I'm doing this more to chronicle the time for my own purposes rather than to provide an interesting read to those in the blogosphere. I apologize in advance for the tedium.

Day 16: Actually, this time when the alarm went off, I was heading back with my wife and kids from getting Shave Ice -- an island treat. Basically, this is a little like a snow cone though the ice is shaved finer, and the flavors are more interesting. Also, you can have ice cream added. Another favorite thing to add are Azuki beans, which are sweet, red beans favored by the Japanese.

Day 17: Went to famous Hanauma Bay for some snorkeling with the family. Unbelievable coral and fish! Everyone had a great time.
