Archive - June 2006 Info about SamPosted Jun-25-06 23:06:56 PDT Sam is my Cat. When he sleeps on his tree (3ft high, 3 tier w/a perch on top) he has a habit of extending one paw over the edge. He either sleeps there or on my set chair, I opened it up one day and he instantly claimed it as another bed). He likes my sewing table also when it's cleared off. Then there's the top of the fridge. One night about 3AM I heard a large crash, when I went into the kitchen the garbage pail was knocked over, Sam's food bowl was upside down etc. I realized Sam had been sleeping on top of the fridge and because he likes to hang over most places he sleeps, he fell off! He was a bit shaken but I calmed him down and we both went back to bed. Sam likes to stretch out on the wood floor but sometimes he seems to blend in being an Orange stripe tabby. It's cute though. He's has a type A personality so it's his way or I have to hit the highway. I'm training him but it's a slow process. He listens 45% of the time and that's an improvement. Forgot to mention he is a rescue cat. He was not doing to good when I found him. He had a puncher wound on his forarm. After a visit to the Vet with shots and nutering, he had about a week of just sleeping at the end of my bed and then he perked up and now he owns the place! I think I like it that way. Right now he's sitting on my lap watching or approving what is being written about him. Is there anything else you would like to know about Sam? Let me know. Lazy SundayPosted Jun-25-06 20:06:49 PDT A lazy Sunday on the computer looking for my ancestors. Luckly they were store owners and Barriser's and posted ads in the newspaper. It's interesting reading papers from the 1880's. I've learned a lot about my ancesters reading about them. But it's taken the better part of my day and I've got a wedding dress to finish for one of the living in my family. Sam's in his tree napping only waking up for a short stroll about the place and a quick bite before resuming his one foot overhang from his perch. Cat's on the Ironing BoardPosted Jun-17-06 11:13:00 PDT Sam is watching me while I am surrounded by sewing patterns, getting them ready to take pictures for my listings. When it's time to take pictures he tries to help or even more he likes to strike a 'pose'. When I'm at my computer he rubs up against the chair or my legs, then jumps up onto my lap and lays his little paws on the desk and looks at the screen sometimes touching it. Yes, it's a nice eBay life here in Venice, CA. |
