Archive - August 2006 Helping newcomers to try eBayPosted Aug-26-06 21:12:21 PDT Hi everyone, I met a lady today to purchase vintage patterns and fabric from her. She had the most wonderful collection! I wanted to buy it all. She also has most, and I'm not kidding, of her clothing from the 60's and 70's and they are all in like new condition and high end labels. I told her about selling her things on eBay and her eyes got wide-eyed. I guess I convinced her because she said she will set herself up with eBay when she gets settled from her move. I told her about bloging and she said she'll write for newcomer eBay help, etc. It was great to tell her about eBay. I still like it here eventhough I closed my store and am concentrating more on my website. Most people in the eBay community are so nice!! Oh! The last thing this nice, nice lady said to me was "I'm going on eBay tonight and buy something!" The best help ever with my logo bannerPosted Aug-26-06 21:00:50 PDT Just want all to know that webgraphicssource is the best for customer service for your logos and banners. He made a banner for me for my website, which was perfect. I asked for more info to add to it and make it longer etc. I had some trouble with my computer and he helped me fix that! Prices are good too. He's on eBay. Just want to let you know about another great option for banners and logos. My last auction listing for a while Sad!!!Posted Aug-23-06 21:26:49 PDT Hi Everyone, I posted a vintage magazine about 2 weeks ago. Started the bid at $5.00. I had one bid, who of course won. When I checked her feedback. She had 2 no pays back in 04. In 06 she made payments and had a couple of great "fast pay" feedbacks. So I thought it would be OK. I wrote about it to all of you in a blog and all said not to worry. She didn't pay for 8 days, and that was after I emailed and reminded her to pay. Then I had to wait 4 days for her check to clear with paypal. Now here's MY stupid mistake; I didn't check the price of shipping and it cost $4.35 to post ( the cheapest) I only charged $2.00 shipping. Then paypal took $0.50 for the transaction. So that means I actually paid someone to buy my item. I'm down hearted. I didn't want to list an item anyway but I still wanted to be connected to eBay because of the great buyers/sellers I have met. So I wasn't thinking when I listed. Oh My!! So please learn from me; pay attention to your shipping cost and how you list or it may cost you. Halloween CostumesPosted Aug-05-06 23:36:57 PDT Updated Aug-06-06 00:18:06 PDT Hi There! I'm about to start making Children's Halloween Costumes. When do you think it would be a good time to list them on eBay? What type of costumes would you be interested in buying? Or any suggestings? Thanks ![]() Bidder has 2 no pays on their FeedbackPosted Aug-05-06 23:30:02 PDT Updated Aug-05-06 23:37:22 PDT Hello, I have a bidder for one of my Vintage Magazines who has 2 no pays on their Feedback. It was back in 2004. They have positive Feedback in 2006 but this still makes me nervous. Bidder has also purchased another vintage magazine from someone else so perhaps is interested in paying for the one I'm selling. New Listings Since Closing my StorePosted Aug-01-06 21:38:21 PDT Hi Everyone I took advantage of the listing sale and now have a few items up for auction. Vintage sewing patterns, Dog Coats, and Aromatherapy Neck Pillow. If your interested take a look. Thanks |
