Maria Gudelis on Where are The Baby Boomers are Buying Real Estate

Maria Gudelis here, and just a quick blog post about watching trends in real estate.  If you are considering real estate investing outside of the U.S. for long term gains, one of the key things to look for is where are the baby boomers moving to? 

More than ever before, baby boomers are looking to retire in a country that is less expensive and provides a healthy lifestyle without fear of medical care or an money costs.  One place I've notice more baby boomers buying second homes is Ecuador.  While travelling there, I chatted with the airline workers and they even commented how the flights are getting fuller and fuller with people flying to Ecuador to 'check out real estate'. 

...And why not, when you can get incredible condos for less than one hundred thousand on the beach or a beautiful new home in the Andes, an area of 'eternal spring' for $150,000 that includes your own 'natural lawnmowers to boot  - llamas'.  :)

The food is mostly organic, the health care is affordable and super high quality....hmmmm...maybe a nice place to check out!  Maria Gudelis
