Most Recent Posts Buyer issue we never experienced until ebay change the feedback policy so sellers can not leave negative feedback for buyers.Posted Sep-05-08 20:48:55 PDT Since eBay's feedback policy change took affect so that sellers can no longer leave buyers negative feedback we have had several buyers "mistakenly" bid or "mistakenly" buy it now, both of which take a few steps and if you can read you can't "mistakenly" bid or buy, after the auction closes they ask to be let out of the deal either with a mutual withdraw, so they pay nothing, or they want to send a partial payment to be released from their obligation to buy. Some even say well I know you wont make any money on the shipping but you wont have to ship the item that should be fair!!! Most of the "mistakenly" bids are because they did not realize that they bid on two of the same or similar items. How do you not know what you are bidding on when your My eBay page shows you what you are currently bidding on and winning and currently bidding on and not winning????? To these confused buyers I can only say Sellers on not as stupid as you think. I understand that you want the best possible deal but don't bid on a bunch of items and then hope you get the one you really want and not expect to pay for all of the other items you win. Sellers have to pay listing fees, final value fees, store fees, shipping fees and the shipping fees are more than the postage required to get the post office to deliver it to you. Sellers have to buy boxes, tape, labels, printers and the ink to print with, labor cost, facility upkeep, employees for some and a lot of other cost that go into running a business not to mention a hell of a lot of time and effort to make a good listing so you will bother to bid. So please think twice before trying the "mistakenly" bid routine. This store has had it with these buyers and we are not only putting buyers who do this on our blocked bidder list we have now started reporting these buyers to eBay's trust and safety team. So if you pull this kinda crap at this store expect to be contacted by eBay about your behavior. We know that the vast majority of buyers are sincere and thank those buyers for supporting our business and we hope to help weed out the bad apples. Shipping and handling charges force item price increases.Posted Aug-21-08 12:19:16 PDT Due to eBay policy changes on shipping and handling charges we are being forced to raise our prices. eBay has change it policies so that the sellers may only charge the actual postage for an item or a max limit of $3 to $5 dollars shipping and handling. We are a small shop and cannot afford not to recoup the cost of shipping supplies and sell items inexpensively. So we are being forced to raise the price of all of our items to cover the cost of the shipping supplies. Shipping cost include: Boxes, tape, envelopes, shipping labels, printer
ink, labor, peanuts and bubble wrap for fragile items and gasoline for
delivery to the Post Office. We do what we can to keep shipping cost as
low as possible including packing items with used clean newspaper when
practical, reusing shipping cartons and recycling whenever possible. I spoke to eBay store support about this and they said only charge postage and to RAISE my item prices.
