A seller of DVD's sent the wrong item, I messaged them and we agreed to exchange, Sent the item back and waited, and waited, messaged after 2 weeks but still no response and no DVD. Because I paid with paypal, I was forced to open a dispute through paypal, the ebay dispute system is not available to me, anyway, still no response and after a month got my money back.... but as soon as paypal refunded me, the seller filed a non paying buyer dispute, I contacted TRUST AND SAFETY, (mistrust and insecurity)explained in live help the problem, and told them I did not want to get a strike against me or lose feedback priveledges for this ignorant seller. they said they would sort it out. annoyed at this stage but happy to get the refund. 3 weeks later, I get a strike, and a warning about how serious non payment is blah blah blah, from the SAME OPERATOR I spoke to earlier. back on the messages. they agreed to remove the strike after many messages, but wrote it as if they were doing me a favour,what a hassle, she was too ignorant to read the complaint and wrote that I had not provided payment details, WTF, it's their own system AND halfway down the page was a cut and paste from paypal, This company is all about dodging responsibility after things go wrong even though they continue to control and manipulate how the transactions are carried out. YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS EBAY. Well, posting the issue here, while not solving anything, is cathartic ??? I DO feel better, if you want to have a rant here go ahead, and maybe we will think of some solutions to some of the appalling crappy service we all get in return for our money. Rob |
