As you'll guess from the titles, I'm somewhat new to this Blog game.

Having got back from this weekends eBay University I'm keen to put all that I learnt into practise.

So this morning I've:

  1. Optimised my Website for Search Engines
  2. Written some listings in HTML and linked to images via URL (I can't beleive I hadn't gone down that route earlier!!!)
  3. Started writing Blogs

I, a long with every other seller I'm sure, am trying to boost my internet exposure and drive more traffic to my Shop and Website.

So, if you get a chance to check either of them out, I'd appreciate your comments!

A few of my Store suggestions for newbies:

Did you activate your listing feeds yet???? What are they? A free store perk to send all your listings to search engines. Read my free Guide. To find it, click my ID the "see all guides" on the right sidebar, scroll down to the link to all my Guides. (If you find it helpful, please give me a YES vote.) Good luck!

Create some custom pages with good content -- my #1 page for hits is NOT the storefront, it's my "About Our Cruelty-free feathers" page. Search engines LIKE text with good content!

Write a good store description with lots of keywords for what you sell -- this section is what ebay uses to generate the Meta Tags which are what the search engines read first. Good keywords = your store shows up in Google, etc. To invite people to your mailing list, use a promotion box instead, NOT the store description.
