Most Recent Posts Day 14Posted May-03-08 10:26:12 PDT Updated May-03-08 10:28:32 PDT Okay I'm starting to feel a lot more comfortable with eBay. Shouts out to my peeps on the International Board. Bought three items so far. Here is the scenario for all three items: 1. Seller was nice with good communication. He notified me when he shipped. 2. Seller I think is a company. The auction stated that the shipping center would be closed from 4/21-4/25. This was fine for me. I expected to received an email notifying me of shipping. I never got it. When I emailed seller to inquire about shipping, my item was already delivered. Terrible communication. 3. Seller is a complete and utter fool. Doesn't know what the hell she is doing and tried to pull a fast one on me. Not this kid. I wasn't born yesterday. I paid for one method of shipping, she downgraded me to another shipping method, without a confirmation number. First, its not what I paid for and second its a huge inconvenience to me, as I have no idea when my item is getting there. She didn't even have the common decency to put my name on the package, so it was sitting at the freight forwarder for a while before I did my package hunt down. I shouldn't have to go hunting down my own packages. Never again will I be buying from her. She doesn't understand business at all. You could have the best product in the world, but if you give poor customer service, customers won't come back. Case in point. All in all it's been ok so far. I listed some more items for sale - my mom and dad were into Amway when it was very popular about 20 years ago. They bought a bunch of books, which I'm now trying to sell off. They're just sitting here in the house collecting dust so I figure I would clean house and make some money at the same time. After all, isn't that what eBay is all about? I'll check back in some time next week again to let you in on what's going on in my eBay world. Chao. Natalia Day 7Posted Apr-19-08 17:08:26 PDT Ok, so far so good. eBay is very easy to move around and navigate between pages (at least in my opinion). I joined some more groups, although they seem to be quite dormant, almost like a volcano that erupts with such force, and then dies down. I also started chatting on the International Board. I'm internationally located so this seemed to be the best board for me, and the folks there are really cool and friendly. I bought my first item (see I told you I love soccer) some Adidas +F50.6 Tunits. I will be using them for my training sessions as soon as they reach Nassau. I listed my first few items for sale, some adidas turf shoes I had laying around the house for a while now, a pair of adidas +F50.6 Angola uppers, and some books that my dad had left over from his home-based business centuries ago that never sold. All in all, its a great experience so far. I'll check back in again next week. Bye for now, Natalia
Day 1Posted Apr-11-08 10:16:27 PDT Updated Apr-11-08 10:17:34 PDT Day 1 Today I joined two groups (hope they are the right ones, well I know one is at least!). So I am just going to explore some more this week and I will report back next week Friday with my findings. Have a great weekend everyone! Natalia |
