Why do summer days pass faster than winter?

Here it is the first week of August. It seems as if we were just impatiently waiting for the first days of spring! Now spring and early summer are past and soon autumn will be here.  I figure we have "winter" from at least November to March. October and April can be pretty iffy in regards to exceeding cold weather. So that makes winter at least six months out of the twelve. In my mind, however, it seems more like 8 months of winter and 4 of reasonable spring and summer weather.  Winter days drag. Summer days fly by.

On another topic, we were astounded and saddened at the news of the bridge in MN. Our hearts go out to those who were on the bridge...happy for those who survived...sad for those injured and dead.  God be with them.
