Tennessee, No State Income Taxes !!

Our property tax is around 55.00 a year, for 2.5 acres.
way down in Alabama.

And I do mean the woods!

Hi JB! I'm 'katsklaws' - been a member of ebay for years; I am also a New Yorker; I relocated in 2002 to Raleigh, N.C. - New York property taxes and prices were killing me. My sister moved to Raleigh 18 years earlier and begged me to go there. I DID NOT LIKE IT, but there are a lot of transplanted New Yorkers there - also, I worked for a woman doctor who lived in Cary, N.C. - they say CARY stands for something about ....yada yada RELOCATED YANKEES"...sorry, cannot remember what the first two letters are supposed to stand for - but you get the idea - there are a lot of New Yorkers there; but it is not cheap to live there, except maybe for the property taxes; since my daughter who lived in Indiana became pregnant - after 2 yrs I sold my house there - COULDN'T WAIT TO LEAVE - brown recluse spider stories abound - very dangerous and indigenous to that area; I moved to Fishers, Indiana 2 yrs ago and I really like it - to me it's like a smaller version of New York. And, UNLIKE Raleigh, THEY LOVE NEW YORKERS HERE IN INDY - THEY LOVE MY ACCENT - ANYWHERE YOU GO THEY REMARK ON HOW MUCH THEY LIKE IT.....I would recommend this area - housing SUPER CHEAP - beautiful homes for $175,000; hope I've helped you....kat
