The first two items were done using the new Hammertap listing tool. The third is using Auctiva.com.  I'd like some feedback on just your thoughts on these tools.  I've asked before and got one or two comments.  I am asking for more....never satisfied!

Our daughter was driving up the California coast on Thursday night on her way to spend another week fishing with her dad.  She came up the last grade going into Crescent City, CA, when two or three large Elk were met  head on.  In the darkness, she managed to hit only one of them.  It totaled her brand new Ford Edge SUV, but she escaped with only a scratch on both hands and lots of glass in her hair.

The Yurok Indians have rights to road kill and were on the scene at the same time that the CHP came ready to butcher the elk to pass out to the community.  Too bad that no one came to put together that much loved new Ford Edge!!  This was only her second trip up since the purchase of the car.  She had it packed with boxes of pears, canned pears, all her garden produce and nothing was lost!  The dogs were happy to find pears in our driveway the next morning since we  had thrown everything in the truck just to get it home and didn't see things rolling out in the dark.  Anyone for pear butter?  I'm making some later today.

Although it was 12:00 a.m. before we finally collected her from the creepy towing yard, she was up bright and early to go fishing.  Now, that is a true fisherwoman born to the fisherman of all fishermen!

You can't imagine how many times, we have encountered those elk along Hwy 101 being so grateful that we managed not to hit any!  So, drivers beware if you travel up our way in the dark!  I think she will be starting her trip earlier in the day from now on, so not to go through elk country in the dark.

Life has over run me in the past week or two.  I haven't been on the blogs for awhile in any significant way.  So, I'm here to just wave chat a bit and fly off to mail packages and attend a meeting.

I had one of  the first foreign students that I tutored come to see me from 400 miles south of me near San Francisco.  She brought her daughter and son in law.  We had a great time time.  Here is a picture of my student, who has been a friend for at least 30 years!



Mendy is with my dog, Maggie by the pond.  This woman is a bundle of Oriental energy never even slowing down to breath! She does practice a Chinese relaxation technique, but I tease her about what gusto she uses to do it just right. LOL

We went hiking, cooked Chinese food and attended one of my internet group meetings where she learned to do MORE!  Whew! I was tired when she left.  Her daughter and son-in-law will be moving to China where they hope to do business.  As a West Virginian native laid back 6'6" guy, he sure amazes you with his fluent Chinese!  So, look forward to those guys using all their resources to hit the web big time!
