Ssgt Matt Maupin --- MIA - Captured for the past 1,084 days !!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Keith Matthew MaupinFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Keith Matthew "Matt" Maupin (13 July 1983–) is a United States Army PFC captured by Iraqi insurgents on April 9, 2004 while serving in the Iraq War after his convoy came under attack by rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire near Baghdad, Iraq. On June 28, 2004, Al Jazeera reported that he was executed by his captors who shot him in the head. On June 30, 2004, an Army spokesman said the video showing Maupin's alleged death was "totally inconclusive." [1] BiographyBorn on July 13, 1983 in Batavia, Ohio, Maupin was a 3.5 grade-point-average student and football player at Glen Este High School in Union Township, Clermont County, Ohio. He was also a rower for Glen Este High School and Clermont High School Crew, whose boathouse is on Harsha Lake, East Fork State Park, Bethel, OH. He graduated in 2001 and enrolled in the University of Cincinnati Aerospace Engineering Program using a scholarship that he received from winning a writing competition. In 2002 he joined the United States Army Reserve and was stationed with the 705th Transportation Battalion based in Dayton, Ohio, Ohio. On April 9, 2004, Maupin's fuel convoy came under attack near the Baghdad International Airport. In what was described as a 5-mile long ambush, the 26-vehicle serial was pummeled by gunfire, mortar rounds and RPGs, disabling many of the civilian fuel tankers and Army vehicles. After the remnants of the convoy reached safe ground it was learned that around ten soldiers and civilian KBR contractors were wounded while one soldier and a civilian driver had been killed in the battle. PFC Maupin was among the nine people unaccounted for – seven civilians and two soldiers. One of the missing civilian drivers, Thomas Hamill, had been taken hostage during the ambush and escaped his captors on May 2, 2004. The bodies of five other civilians and the second soldier were subsequently recovered (all are thought to have been killed in the ambush); Civilian driver Timothy Bell remains missing and is presumed dead since he never appeared in a hostage video.Maupin has been promoted three times since he was declared missing in action, first from Private First Class to Specialist, then to Sergeant, then lastly, Staff Sergeant. As of January 11, 2007, he and Ahmed Qusai al-Taayie are still missing.[2]

Fortunately, we have done our homework and are well-prepared for what lies ahead. More than 210 law enforcement, civil rights, civic and religious organizations have already endorsed the bill. And the public also overwhelmingly supports the legislation. According to a Peter D. Hart Research Associates poll we conducted in early February, 73 percent of registered voters say that they support hate crimes legislation. For more background on the bill, check out: http://tinyurl.com/3ce2t8 We will be working closely with our congressional allies at every step of the way. And we anticipate that an identical bipartisan Senate companion bill will be introduced in the next few weeks by Sens. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., and Gordon Smith, R-Ore If you havn't already done so, please contact your Congressman or Congresswoman and let them know you want them to support this legislation. Thanks so much, Kimberley (aka WonderWomanKim33) A Newborn's conversation with God ~Posted Mar-26-07 19:51:36 PDT A Newborn's conversation with God ~ A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?" God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."
The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy." God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."
Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?" God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will Teach you how to speak."
"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?" God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."
"Who will protect me?" God said, your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."
"But I will always be sad because! I will not see you anymore." God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name." God said, You will simply call her, "Mom." ![]() ![]() Rest well and have sweet dreams, Kimberley (aka WonderWomanKim33)

For those of you who don't know the origin of the Josie O products here is the Josie O Story. THE Josie O STORY O-Si-Yo (Hello in Cherokee) Josephine (Josie) Orphelia was my Maternal Grandmother. She was a wonderful woman and a Native American, she was an Ani Wahya [Wolf Clan Member] Ani Yunwiya [Cherokee]. Growing up my ‘Mamaw’ and Mom instilled in me a love of nature (both physical & spiritual) and all things botanical. My grandmother nurtured and inspired wonderful gardens. Gardens where she nurtured beautiful grandchildren as well as her flowers and herbs. I was taught, in a very natural manner, the importance of all living things and came to know the wonderful healing properties of plants. I never was one for taking ‘medicine’ or at least not the synthetic variety purchased at pharmacies and stores. For most all maladies there is a remedy in nature, you just have to know where to look and honor the medicine. I grew up and away from some of the things I was taught as a little girl, after college I served our country in the US Marine Corps, after my service I entered into the Corporate World, I achieved success and was CEO of a successful company. Our family was struck with Tragedy when my brother was in a fatal motorcycle accident and taken from us before his time. I began to question if the material success of the corporate world was really what is most important in life. I came to the conclusion that life is very precious and fleeting, we must live it well – be happy – be healthy and give unto others. To live a meaningful and happy life, we must find our purpose. I have now left the daily stress and pressure of the corporate world behind. My purpose is to help others to achieve wellness, happiness, wisdom, and a ‘good mind’ through respect for the natural world. The Josie O products will be created using the knowledge and love of nature, instilled in me by my Mother and Grandmother. Our collection of products will be varied and complimentary, they will be for the mind, body and spirit. You will find Skin Care Products; Bath and Body Products, Aromatherapy Products; Home & Garden Products and Clothing. Whatever the product, Josie O products will always consist of the best quality ingredients and components available and be presented in a tasteful manner. They will come to you from the foothills of the "Beloved Mountains" the Great Smoky Mountains, ancient home of the Cherokee. Wa-Do (Thank you in Cherokee), Kimberley aka WonderWomanKim33

60 POINTS: Others see you as someone they should "handle with care." You're seen as vain, self-centered, and who is extremely dominant.
Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't
always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you. 51 TO 60 POINTS: Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate. 41 TO 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them u p and help them out. 31 TO 40 POINTS: Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken. 21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature. UNDER 21 POINTS: People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions & who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Some people think you' re boring. Only those who know you well know that you aren't.
