going on a trip and need advice

My boyfriend and I are planing a motorcycle trip.  We are leaving from wisconsin and heading to the great smoky mountains.  Does anyone know of some good stops a long the way or what to avoid?

you could try the ama motorcycle museum in canton ohio..I hear its marvulous :)
