I have been thinking about sharing this embarrassing moment on Ebay,
and I know I will turn red and say mean things to myself all over again.
Inspite of that, I think it can make you smile and even laugh plus learn
something from my experience.

I am fairly new at buying and selling but when I started buying I went
crazy, like a drug or alcohol addiction but I think this was more a
expensive habit than any I've ever fallen into.

Getting hooked on vintage jewelry is just sublime when I am
searching for that perfect lot or that great bargain.  Then at
the very end when people really bid I would get into a frenzy
of "gotta have it."  

One day I saw a sale for vintage belts.  I was thrilled at the
price and bid and then bid again.  I wanted those belts.  I won
the belts and couldn't wait until they arrived in the mail.

So one day a big batch of purchases came all at once and
I started opening them.  There was a flat one that I couldn't
think of what it was.  (now I am red in the face)  It was a
page from an old fashion magazine with PICTURES of
vintage belts.  I got on ebay and read the description it did
say magazine page. 

It has been a lesson to really read the description.  I sent
the seller a note and chastized myself.  His response was
"I normally put that in the main title but forgot to this time."
Let the buyer beware.  I have had several lessons on that
but this time I spent too much and was mad at myself.
Now it seems funny do I'll share my embarrassment with
all of you and laugh at myself.

I got a sale rescinded because of  someone using another person's account
Since this was one of my FIRST four sales, I was confused and upset.  I've
gotten comments from other sellers that it has happened to them.  What the
heck!! How do they manage it? What is wrong with People? Not a nice thing
to do.  Can this idiot or mean person be caught?  I'll get over it, but I have
put a disclaimer in my description for creeps and fake bidders to GO AWAY!!

They cancelled one of my sales because  "unauthorized"  bidding on someone's account.   Would  someone
be dishonest because they decide they don't want it or does this happen ofter?  I am confused because  this
is my first set of auctions and I sold all four but then  one was  recinded. Now I have to start all over with this lot.  Sucks!!!!!

 

I got some jewelry in the mail and this is not the first time this has happened.  As I try to untangle the wad
they sent it in, I stick myself on a brooch that has not been closed.  Is there a reason they don't close the
pins on brooches.  I may be missing something but maybe they are pissed off about the price.  Anyway just
want to know if it is laziness or if there is a purpose that the madness.  Getting stuck and leaving positive
feedback is difficult.

I am hoping that my selling will help my buying obsession.  Now instead of going to the buying section I am going to the selling section and waiting...waiting...for bids.  I realize alot of people wait until the last minute so I am not nervous yet, just trying to realize it is my first and I will get better with descriptions, etc.
