ebay ripoffs

I have been reading alot of blogs that talk about ripoffs.  I hope everyone of you realizes that it is not ebay ripping you off.   there are unscrupulous sellers and buyers.  it is your responsibility to report them and make sure they are punished or removed.  ebay is one of the greatest selling sites in the world, and I have made terrific buys in just about every category.

I've only had a few ripoffs, and I feel fortunate .  the money I have saved over the years has more than made up the difference.  I hope every ripoff knows if they do it here they will get the maximum the law allows.  it sure is nice to sell your items to interested buyers, rather than giving stuff away at garage sale prices.

Fortunately, I have never been ripped off. I am very cautious, and have always been, when I buy on eBay. :)

ditto on the well-said. I cringe when I hear people insist that ebay protect them for themselves. Considering the nature of ebay and how many people use it, I think ebay does an excellent job of policing transactions. But people have to protect themselves, first and foremost.

Very well said. I think eBay is GREAT, even with the fee increases. It has enabled me to reach a market I would never find otherwise (I just sold $8.00 worth of goose feathers today -- here in rural areas they are worth very little, but reach the right crafters and I sell enough to feed the whole flock and then some!)

BTW, welcome to blogging here -- and if you have any pets, be sure to visit my Longest Pets Blog to add your animal friends to the ever-growing list!

I Disagree!

If you scan the listings on EBAY motors, you cant help but notice the nuber of members who are "relisting due to deadbeat bidder".

Ebay does not alow you to block bidders with no positive feed back. For small $ items this is not a problem but on Ebay motors it is a big problem. These bidders use the buy it now to shut down the auction. they dont pay. its reported to ebay. Ebay investigates and responds that it was un unauthorized account takeover or false contact info etc. and the purchase is void. It takes weeks to receive a credit for the final value fee. this listing fee is refunmded one thime only even if this hapens multiple times. the only one to profit from this problem is EBAY.
