Archive - July 2007 Is it time...?Posted Jul-31-07 20:03:38 PDT To start listing Halloween Costumes? I have my children’s Disney Costumes (Tinkerbell, Eeyore, Captain Hook, etc.) that I would like to sell, but wasn't sure if anyone is looking right now or if I should wait until August or September? Anyone? BlondsPosted Jul-27-07 20:31:59 PDT A blonde was driving home when a guy pulled her over. The guy says, “Get out of the car and stand in this circle or something awful is going to happen to you.” So, while the blonde is standing in the circle the guy is going through her car and transporting it to his car. Then the blonde started laughing hysterically. The guy asks, "Why are you laughing? The blonde ignores him and he says, “Whatever!” and continues to rob her car. The blonde starts laughing again. "Why R U laughing!" She again ignores him. Then just as the guy is about to drive away, the blonde starts laughing a third time "Ok… that’s it… What’s your problem,” the guy shouts??? "Well, the blonde says, “When you weren't looking I stepped out of the circle three times! Insert dope slap to forehead here!Posted Jul-27-07 18:06:04 PDT Updated Jul-27-07 18:14:53 PDT Ever have one of those days where nothing and I mean NOTHING seems to go right? It's just been one of those days for me! Just spend over 5 hours listing an item (here wana see...LOL Bernina 200E). I posted it through Auctiva at 4:30 and when it posted, it had a HUGE bug at the top of the listing??? Ok, whatever...let me fix it right? Tried to fix it but by the time I fixed it I had bids on it already. Ok, next I figure I will email all my bidders letting them know there is an error on the listing and I need to cancel their bids? Right? NO I found out after emailing all bidders and after canceling all of their bids, I STILL couldn't fix the stinkin' error. Now what? Genius thinks to herself, {I'll talk to the nice people at Live help!...they are sure to give me credit since the listing just started}...Right? After a while, I managed to talk her into giving me credit for the listing although she made it clear that this was a "one time convenience credit" Whatever! Not my fault...Right?! I could have sworn it was Auctiva's! Now, it's time to re-list it! Managed to fix the dumb error, but one FULL hour past my normal list time. Which means next Friday I will be working until 5:30 instead of 4:30....BLA BLA BLA...Waaahhhh! And that's all I have to say because since my day is going so "not as planned", my blog will probably be deleted anyway :~)...it's just my luck! On a good note - They just opened a Super TARGET about 15 minutes away from me! WooHoo Hope everyone has a great weekend! Hello Daddy?Posted Jul-24-07 07:36:25 PDT "Hello?" "Hi, honey. This is Daddy. Is Mommy near the phone?" "No, Daddy. She's upstairs in the bedroom with Uncle Paul." After a brief pause, Daddy says, "But honey, you haven't got an Uncle Paul." "Oh, yes, I do, and he's upstairs in the room with Mommy right now." Brief Pause. "Uh, okay then, this is what I want you to do. Put the phone down on the table, run upstairs and knock on the bedroom door and shout to Mommy that Daddy's car just pulled into the driveway." "Okay, Daddy, just a minute." A few minutes later the little girl comes back to the phone. "I did it, Daddy." "And what happened honey?" he asked. "Well, Mommy got all scared, jumped out of bed with no clothes on and ran around screaming. Then she tripped over the rug, hit her head on the dresser and now she isn't moving at all!" "Oh my God!!! What about your Uncle Paul?" "He jumped out of the bed with no clothes on, too. He was all scared and he jumped out of the back window and into the swimming pool. But I guess he didn't know that you took out the water last week to clean it. He hit the bottom of the pool and I think he's dead" Long Pause Longer Pause Even Longer Pause Then Daddy says, "Swimming pool? Is this 486-5731?" How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?Posted Jul-19-07 13:16:12 PDT Updated Jul-19-07 13:17:23 PDT While it makes for a great tongue-twister, the sad answer is: probably none. Woodchucks aren't particularly tree-oriented, and while they can climb to find food, they prefer being on the ground. In fact, they got the name "woodchuck" from British trappers who couldn't quite wrap their tongues around the Cree Indian name "wuhak." More commonly (and accurately) known as groundhogs, these animals are closely related to squirrels, marmots, and prairie dogs, with which they share an affinity for burrowing. And actually, a burrowing woodchuck can chuck dirt, in the form of tunnels that can reach five feet deep and as much as 35 feet in length. So, based on that number, New York State wildlife expert Richard Thomas calculated that if a woodchuck could chuck wood, he could chuck as much as 700 pounds of the stuff. Is it really baby season already?Posted Jul-17-07 13:39:51 PDT Yesterday, I received six baby shower gift orders. Four of those six orders are for baby showers in September. It seems as if every year baby season gets sooner and sooner :~) In my first year, the rush was in October (which is still my #1 baby gifting month for my online store...the rush on eBay is in April), the next was September and last year the rush started in August. Well this year, it's mid July and the orders are already flooding in! I love the fact that orders are coming in even earlier this year, as it limits the need for so many rush orders. Every year, I receive dozens of rush ("I totally forgot to order!") orders! So for those reading this, please don't be the one who forgets this year! Add my website or eBay store to your favorite links :~) Thanks...hehehe Dads...Posted Jul-17-07 11:04:57 PDT One day, shortly after the birth of their new baby, the mother had to go out to do some errands, so the proud father stayed home to watch his wonderful new son. Soon after the mother left, the baby started to cry. The father did everything he could think of, but the baby just wouldn't stop crying. Finally, the dad got so worried he decided to take the infant to the doctor. After the doctor listened to all the father had done to get the baby to stop crying, the doctor began to examine the baby's ears, chest and then down to the diaper area. When he opened the diaper, he found was indeed full. "Here's the problem," the doctor explained. "He just needs to be changed." The perplexed father remarked, "But the diaper package specifically says it's good for up to 10 pounds!" eBay PulsePosted Jul-16-07 15:49:08 PDT Please add my auction to your watched list. Sincerely, Lisa My thought/question of the day!Posted Jul-14-07 12:25:29 PDT Why is it that nearly every time someone makes an appointment with you, they don't call to cancel, they show up late or call AFTER they where to be there? Seriously, the air conditioner guys where supposed to be at the house at 8AM. It's now 12:15 and the service guy just called letting me know that he wouldn't be here until 2pm. Now normally I wouldn’t have much issue, however today at 2 my daughter was supposed to attend a birthday party for one of her classmates who is turning 6...her first "friend" birthday party. Now I have to call the parents, talk to the little girl and tell her how sorry I am and tell my daughter she cant go because I will have no one here when the service guy gets here. Hoy! No one is going to be happy! New Wedding & Bridal Shower Line!Posted Jul-05-07 11:15:14 PDT Here are my two newest editions to my Bridal and Wedding Gift line!
