Excessive Shipping - ebay cleaning house!

If you haven't already seen this article then you might want to check it out. Ebay says that excessive shipping fees may be driving away potential customer from returning to ebay and they are finally going to do something about sellers charging these excessive shipping fees.

I, for one, would never buy from someone that i feel has inflated shipping fees simply because if you are not happy with the item and need to return it you'll lose those shipping fees you paid. example: a seller offers a "buy it now" and you pay $2 for a small item (the refundable amount) and then another $20(or more) for shipping, then need to return the item for any reason, the seller has just made a huge profit and now has the item back in their possesion to sell it again.

Here's the article http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/excessiveshipping.html .....

I agree. I think some sellers do that so they only pay the initial .35 listing fee when they know the item is worth more so they put the "real" value into the shipping charges and "waa laa", they have made a profit.

Hello OP,
They need to do something. It makes all sellers look bad.

hey thanks for the link. my suggestion for what it is worth if you find a seller doing this email bill. if he gets hundreds of thousands of emails a day on this then action will be taken.
