I'm Back (San Diego vacation)

I'm finally catching up, with emails and my blog, after returning from our trip to San Diego. While there we visited Sea World and the Zoo. For anyone going I highly recommend Sea World. The kids loved it and there were plenty of opportunities to get off your feet and enjoy a show. We made the mistake of visiting the Zoo the day before our last and by then we were exhausted and there is a lot of walking involved with exploring the Zoo. Although they have bus tours, which we didn't take, it appears you can't see much from the bus and would end up missing a great deal if you didn't jump off and walk. Needless to say, my feet are incredibly sore and I got waaaay too much sun....enough to last me for the rest of this summer anyway!

I'll be listing new auctions later this week!

I live in SD, and love it here. Moving in a onth to Boston, though. Waaahh! The bus tour at the zoo actually is a great deal. You get a feel for where things are, learn some interesting facts, and you don't have to walk!!!

Thanks for the comments! We had a great time. The weather in San Diego was gorgeous while we were there too...although the humidity was higher than I'm used to being that I'm in AZ. It was a bit rainy in the mornings but it burned off by mid morning which made for great theme park, beach and zoo weather.

I wish we had more time to explore, I know there was so much more we could have seen. It's not far so i would imagine we'll go back again someday!

I was at the zoo yesterday! My boyfriend and I had the early bird special at Albert's (treehouse restaurant). I've got a zoo membership, and its paid for itself since I got it. The bus and the air car are free w/membership. Love the Wild Animal Park in Escondido, too, and going to Orfilla winery afterward.

My boyfriend grew up in Tucson, and last year we lived 6 months in Kayenta--reservation life is an eye-opener!

I think a membership would be the way to go if you lived near the zoo. It would have been so much easier for us if we had been able to spread it out over a couple of days instead of trying to fit it all in that one day....i'm pretty sure we missed some stuff! we MISSED the pandas *sigh*, the line (because of the 1st Bday, i think) was sooooo long we decided to come back later and never made it. i love visiting Tucson...if you ever head down that way make sure your BF takes you to the botanical gardens, it's not a huge place but it's romantic and they had a very cool butterfly exhibit.

Miss Mary...that is my oldest daughter!Pointing at "oooo we should go over there and do that next!" I would imagine, lol. No one ever takes pics of me, if that's what you were thinking...I'm always behind the camera. oh and one thing that annoys me about Ebay blogs...they never tell me when someone comments in my blog!
